    Okay...now what?!?

I could kick myself in the ass right now. The thing is I'm looking for a reputable dispatch company to work for. I've been a PSO off and on for 4 and a half years and I'm afraid I may have worked myself out of a job! I've looked on several sites for other places but you have to have regular PC access in most cases to work for them.

There are 3 companies I made a decent living with: USI, AOS, and Papillon long ago. I can't go back to any of them unfortunately. I just up and quit with out notice and I know they are strict about that. If I knew then what I know now I wouldn't be in this predicament.

I refuse to cry over spilled milk though. I'm not going to give up my search! If anyone could possibly help me out or give me some tips I'd be greatful. Thanks in advance!

If you are looking for dispatch there is a thread about companies- search a list of pso companies- the good, bad, and ugly. You should find it that way. There is also a self promote this which I assume you wouldn't want since the companies you mentioned are dispatch. What I will say is never just quit next time. I mean what are you going to put for references? Those companies that you just up and left. No company owner wants to hear that.

Papillion has a new hiring manager. A friend of  mine just got hired back and she thought there was no way she would since she quit without notice.  Give it a try, the worse they can do is say no.

I thought almost all Dispatch companies require at least some internet access. I just dont know if you will be able to find work very quickly, without internet service.Even the two companies I work for require at least acess to e-mail.

peace and love, may it cover the earth in 2010.

Access to e-mail is no problem. I just can't do it while I'm working. Damn I need a PC!

Oooooh! For real, Rita39!? I was rehired recently by Papillon but then they tried to tell me I couldn't work for them because I did the same thing your friend did. I guess I could give it a try though..

Oh, and do you have to have access to the internet while being logged on for a shift at Chloe?

...you must have phone and internet access...

I agree that most companies do require internet access.

    TBE does not.

Not the greatest company in the world, but your options may be limited.

AOS ( in most cases ) will let you sign a new contract, even if one day you never logged on again and gave them no notice. A second chance may be waiting for you and it surely wouldn't hurt to try.

Call AOS and ask them if you can re-apply. They will talk to the managers and if they determine you are eligible you can reapply and start working for them again.

The only thing I can say about them is that they mail their checks on time. Other than that, they don't pay the bonuses you supposedly make for hold times, and uh.... you may/may not be able to tolerate the set up there.

    Re: Okay...now what?!?

Thanks for the tips you guys. Oh by the way, I emailed the folks at Papillon about getting rehired and they never responded. Then I got an e-mail from the folks at Madamay. I have read a lot of thing about them here. I am still willing to give them a try. I'm dropping them like a hot potato if they ever fuck up my money though!
