Get to that money:
I started a thread called "Okay...now what?" in another forum on this board. I got some good advice and suggestions. Thanks to everyone who responded.
The update on my little dillemna is that I will be able to get my own PC with internet next week. I can't wait to finally get on board with a great company considering all the crap I've been through this past year with a couple of shady ass PSO comapnies! I'd like to know which reputable dispatch or direct dial companies have the best traffic and pay these days. I know it is very possible for me to earn a damn good living as a single parent PSO because I did it when I worked for AOS and USI. I've been practically working my ass off for nothing during the past few months! I'm so sick of putting in endless hours and hard work for these lame ass companies that lie about having good traffic and pay if you work for them. I'm looking for is a business that actually has moderate to high traffic, has a honest and respectful staff, and pays every dime for the work you do.
I'd like to make $1,000 or better per pay period. I usually put in 60+ hours in a work week. I know if I get in with a good company with decent traffic I'll make very good money to support my family. I'm a single mom with tons of expenses and I need help! If anyone could give me any info at all I'd appreciate it big time! Thanks!
Something to keep in mind. If you want to put 60 hours into a dispatch company then I would suggest working 2 or 3 companies. Others may not agree but in my experience this is best! For example. I can log on at one of my dispatch companies and get back to back calls with great call times for 25 hours a week, and that is about all I can do or I start working for free! I have figured out what hours are busiest and have the best hold times. Just as soon as I go and put in more time I am basically losing money or waiting 4 to 10 minutes between calls. If I were to put in 40 hours at this company then for me, my pay would not increase, even though I took a ton more calls. It's because my hold time would drop and so would my efficiency rate.
Now if you are working a trolling, direct dial or combo company then 1 company and 60 hours may be just fine.
Others may have had a different experience with their dispatch companies but it doesn't feel so great to watch my pay rate drops .30 cents for all my calls because I wanted to put in more time. I rather make half a dollar or so per min at 25 hours than a quater for per min at 50 hours. This is certainly something to think about.
